Ashley Carson

Division President, SouthState Bank

Ashley Carson is Atlanta Division President at SouthState Bank responsible for leading the Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Banking, Private Banking, Not-for-Profit and Retail teams in the Atlanta market.   She has over 25 years of experience in Corporate and Commercial Banking. Prior to joining SouthState, she worked at Atlantic Capital Bank for 15 years. During her tenure she led the Commercial and Not-for-Profit banking teams as well as Marketing and Community Development. Ashley sat on the Executive team and facilitated the acquisition and integration of Atlantic Capital into SouthState Bank in 2022.   Prior to her time with Atlantic Capital, she worked at Wachovia Bank for 7 years, completed Wachovia’s Corporate and Investment Banking Training Program and worked as an Associate Relationship Manager in the Business and Consumer Services Corporate Banking Group. She was a Relationship Manager in Wachovia’s Business Banking Group, focusing on local non-profit and for-profit businesses in Atlanta.   Ashley is an active member of the business and civic community.  She recently served for 8 years on the Grove Park Foundation Board. She is an alumnus of the Georgia 100/Acheiva Program, the Coca Cola Diversity Leadership Academy and is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta class of 2016.
